well... here it is, middle of may and in a month and a half i will say bye bye to nyc for the first time in years. i'm pretty scared about leaving new york. i will be back though and LA will be a good experience. law school will not be fun. i hope i don't drop out. just kidding dad! like my dad would read this.

i got the new death cab for cutie today, it's ok, i guess it took me a little while to become totally sold on plans so i'll give it a few more weeks before i actually form an opinion.

pinkberry opened up 2 weeks from my office and the rest of my salary will be spent on green tea frozen yogurt, yikes!

i am working on the new frontiers vinyl... i'm really excited about this band.

my color fred and 1969 vinyls will be out in a few weeks - check out how cool the art is!

(the front cover is on the right side, genius)

a few other things before the end of the summer, stay tuned. i'm excited, warm weather rules, i hope good things keep happening. smile :)

i saw the weakerthans on friday, seriously it was UH-MAZ-ING. if you ever get the chance to this band, DO IT.

in other news, i gave up my 15+ yrs of being a vegetarian and started with chicken and fish. we'll see how long this lasts or how far i go with this.

i am going to LA with my dad in a week and a half and i caaan't wait.

one of my favorite things: when indie rock bands write songs named after professional sports players.

Band of Horses - Detlef Shrempf

The Weakerthans - Elegy for Gump Worsley

hola - this post is dedicated to my friend & mysteriously loyal reader alvin kangaroo.

me: alvin can you make sushi?
alvin: jesse can you make gingerbread houses?

we joke.

so this is the new year. new yrs resolutions are still being thought about. by this time next year i hope to have released more records than i did last year (easier said than done and a resolution i put in place almost every year - however i accomplished it in 07!). i think i'l be able to make it happen...
i hope to be in law school as well - on my way to a life of pushing paper around in circles and 1/2 a year closer to being done with school for good.

the rest is the same. i love brooklyn, nothing could make me happier than just walking around my neighborhood on a 65 degree day in january (WTF!?)

and until next time i leave you with this quote from my adorable mother:

mom: etc etc etc. jk
me: i didn't know you knew what jk meant!
mom: i'm learning, lol
